A choice specimen of black Uraninite crystal group. The original label said it was Euxenite and from Mitchell, North Carolina. It is metamict and tested out to contain U & Pb by EDS. I believe it is Urananite and from the Swamp quarry.

A 2cm Uraninite crystal perched nicely on the top of this specimen. The crystal is dull and imperfect perhaps as a result of chipping away the surrounding matrix to expose the crystal. The matrix is a pinkish yellow color with swirls of deep purple Fluorite.
Ex. Wiliam Pinch with label.

This is the actual color and not photoshopped. Bright neon greenish yellow thin tabular crystals to 4mm across. The specimen seems to glow in the daylight and is actually brighter than the photos. Originally from the late Carlos Barbosa.
