A 15x14cm area of crystalline, glassy brown Pellyite in Sanbornite rich matrix. Pellyite is an extremely rare mineral according to Robert Walstrom. There are several grains of less than 1mm Muirite scattered within the matrix. Both minerals are rich in barium as is Sanbornite. Pellyite is not fluorescent and resembles smoky quartz. It rarely forms crystals at Big Creek - Rush Creek deposits. It forms in contact metamorphic deposits.
