Type Locality

Large crystals, for the species, of Gratonite, a rare lead sulfide found in only a handfull of localities around the world. This locality, the type locality, is probably the best. The crystals are simple trigonal terminations, much like a tourmaline, and are hemimorphic. The specimen shows wear, but not too bad as old and brittle as this mineral can be but still carries a highly reflective luster.
