Minium
Wickenburg, Maricopa Co., Arizona, United States
Chemical Formula: Pb++2Pb++++O4

Bright red powdery coatings.

Minium
Carachilas, Baja California, Mexico
Cooke Collection
Chemical Formula: Pb++2Pb++++O4

Very rich specimen of pulverulent and "crystalline scales", as termed by Dana. I wasn't quite sure if these were actual crystals, which I don't think have ever been described from anywhere in particular. Although Fred DeVito may have described them at Crestmore. This specimen exhibits the said habits, much like those described in the literature. The Minium is well covered all over the matrix and is sometimes caoted by selenite gypsum. This locality has not been mentioned in most of the common miineral books except by Anthony et al in Handbook of Mineraolgy.

Minyulite
Tom's Phosphate quarry, Kapunda, South Australia, Australia
Chemical Formula: KAl2(PO4)2(OH,F)•4(H2O)

White sprays to 2mm composed of thin bladed micro crystals.

Minyulite
Ross Hannibal mine, Lawrence Co., South Dakota, United States
Chemical Formula: KAl2(PO4)2(OH,F)•4(H2O)

White acicular, radial sprays to 3mm.

Minyulite (upper right)
Minyulite (upper right)
Minyulite with Sincosite
Ross Hannibal mine, Lawrence Co., South Dakota, United States
Chemical Formula: KAl2(PO4)2(OH,F)•4(H2O)

White sprays to 2mm compsed of slender micro crystals of Minyulite (upper right) associated with a rich coverage of green Sincosite. The Sincosite occurs as tiny tabular micro crystals to about 0.75mm, which is most typical, but more so (on this specimen) occurs as micro rosettes composed of thin platy crystals.

Miserite
Mont Saint-Hilaire, Quebec, Canada
Cooke Collection
Chemical Formula: K1.5-x(Ca, Y,REE)5[Si6O15][Si2O7](OH,F)2•yH2O

Nice pink sprays embedded in matrix to 5mm.
