Earlshannonite

Type Locality.
Chemical Formula: (Mn,Fe++)Fe+++2(PO4)2(OH)2•4(H2O)

This mineral is a close kin to Whitmoreite, containing Mn2+ substituting for the Fe2+ and forming Earlshannonite as flattened, thick, prismatic(?) crystals in clusters to about 0.5mm on dark green Mitridatite

Metallic grains to 1mm in quartz matrix.



Edgarbaileyite

Kidwell Collection. Type Locality.
Chemical Formula: Hg+6Si2O7

Bright yellow botryoidal crystals lining a 3mm vug.



Edgarbaileyite with Edoylerite
Clear Creek area, New Idria district, San Benito Co., California, United States

This specimen contains a rather "large" vug to 3mm filled with a layer of mamillary canary yellow Edgarbaileyite crystals. Edgarbaileyite was the first mercury silicate to be found. Excellent specimen.

Superb specimen with six groups/individual crystals scattered about the face of this specimen. The photo on the upper right is the best group to 0.75mm.
