You have to see this specimen under a scope to really, really appreciate it. Originally described by Andy Roberts, Ansell, and Pete Dunn in 1981 as an mercury oxychloride-Bromide occuring as "anhedral red masses and orange-red to yellow acicular crystals". Observing this under the scope indeed that what they are and actually more. On this specimen you will see tiny acicular sprays and larger crystals perched on top of etched calcite pilars. It's a fascinating occurence. This is an excellent, rich specimen of a mineral found in only two worldwide localities thus far.
