Cerussite
vein #5, Nakhlak mine, Anarak district, Iran
Chemical Formula: PbCO3

Generally, a web of reticulated twinned crystals

Cerussite
Flux mine, Patagonia, Santa Cruz Co., Arizona, United States
Chemical Formula: PbCO3

At one time these guys were fairly prevalent on the market. These days, it's getting harder to find. This piece was acquired by Robert Nowakowski from Gene Schlepp of Western Minerals back in 1972. The specimen itself is well preserved with no damage and crystals form a typical "jackstraw" habit. It sits well with a natural, flat base and a bit of matrix. The crystals look fragile, but in fact are quite stout and measure up at over 2cm and all are terminated rather than broken. Excellent piece.
